This is actually incorrect. The actual name is FINGER ROWS... derived from the name of the fruit and how it is sold. The fruit is LADY FINGER BANANAS. They are sold in "hands" or ROWS.... five or more together. Over time, a Row of Lady Finger Bananas became Lady Finger Rows ... and finally, Finger Rows.
