From what i gather the larger the berry, the bitter it is to taste. When picked young it is good to go... so the haitians ain't got a clue about this yet lol

Haitians don't eat it they use it for voodoo. they don't like Jamaicans cause Jamaicans eat it.

Susumba is commonly used in Tobago - much more so than in Trinidad. In addition to the cooking descriptions already given it is also regularly used to make soup.
