Can you get these in Barbados?

Note this stream is old but still hoping for some info. My Tobago family knows it but not the Trinidadian side. Older relatives who used to describe eating it in soup as children, have since died so no help in how to prepare nor they did not know what medicinal purpose. Personally tried it and found it too bitter for palate (like Caraille) but still wish to know its benefit, maybe try again.
