Is this a relative to bay leaves? Or so many people are calling 2 things 1 name. All the many bay leaves that I have seen, doesn't have any lines in them, only the one leaf line not so many as the pictures indicate.

This likes like a different plant to the one I know. This picture has more veins than the local one I know in Antigua. Perhaps we have two....

My Gran Mother used to rub her legs when there was a little cramp or stiffness, in the knee joints. I love the smell when boiled a couple leaves and then leave the pot to cool down. The smell till this day never departs from me. Barbados

Christmas bush and bay leaf are two different plants. Christmas bush is for culinary and bay leaf medicinal.

The bay leaf is smaller than Christmas bush leaf. They both have different aromas.
