Interesting, never heard this term before. I guess it might be somewhat similar to Ol' Higue or Soucouyant, but I'm sure those terms pertain to more "evil" spirits.

Its a creature or a spirit,maybe it is a spirit of a native amerindians who where did wrong and came to seek vengeance on anyone on there land...or maybe...it's a specific tribe of people that is found in the jungle of guyana...they once said...you can become kanaima by eating a leave from a specific plant...the true origin is blurry at best...I live here...they exist..in the bushes...

Whistling next to house is Bacchoo.

Actually, I was wrong. Whistling is Kanima and not Bacchoo it seems like.
