mi blow wow!
It used to be "God Blasted" didn't it.... But like you catch yourself before you cuss and round it off and somehow it caught on...Sort of like "Cheese-On".... Which used to be said Cheese-on-bread.... but before that you had Jeeesus peace.... and before that you had the actual cuss word itself Jesus Chr--t... LOL It is all still of the profanity variety due to its roots.
It's a contraction of an expression from the Middle Ages -- "God blind me". In other dialects (UK-based) it's "cor/gaw/gor (God) blimey (blind me)", or simply "blimey". In Barbados, there are several variations of the same expression; "caw bleh muh", "caw blen" and I've even heard the super-contracted, "cawlen".
caw - wow! (shortened version to the vulgar)
It is a contraction of “God blind you” and is more of a curse than simply an expression of surprise
