The bread is a quick bread made of flour, baking powder, salt and ground turmeric, which gives the bread its yellow color. It is flattened to a thin round disk about four or five inches in diameter and fried until golden brown.
Yep, two baras = 1 doubles. All that's missing is some curried channa, potatoes and tamarind sauce...and slight pepper (to go). Afternoon snack or lunch. It's just as good. Best I had was in Arima and also towards Tunpuna rd & Solomon Hochoy hwy.
