These are also grown in Jamaica and known as west indian cherries (or just "cherries"). Someone should add Jamaica to the countries for the word.

We call it "Cerise" in other words Cherries in Haiti.

I love this fruit as a little boy on my way to school i would pick these fruits from off the tree when no one was looking, It has a lovely taste and it has a lots of Vitamin C.

it is an excellent source of vitamin C,A,B1,B2 and B3, bioflavonoids and carotenoids,not to mention its excellent antioxidant properties.
